Single Procurement Service
SaskBuilds is home to government’s Single Procurement Service (SPS), announced in October 2018 through the Speech from the Throne. The service brings procurement professionals and expertise into a single organization that is focused on excellence and service.
The procurement service will conduct procurements for all ministries across government in a way that ensures best value for taxpayers and fair treatment for Saskatchewan suppliers.
Vision: Professional, strategic public procurement service focused on fairness, transparency and value.
Mission: Best value procurement that achieves value for taxpayers, ensures fair treatment for Saskatchewan suppliers, and provides government the goods and services it needs to deliver public programs, services and infrastructure to Saskatchewan citizens.
SPS has developed a Procurement Quick Reference Guide to provide an overview of procurement information and processes for users performing procurement on behalf of Executive Government.
The Government Procurement Policy has been developed to achieve best value procurement through a consistent approach across government in a way that demonstrates leadership in service delivery; value and innovation; citizen and industry focus; expertise; and sustainability.
